Monitoring, control and surveillance
SeaCatch is a software application running onboard the fishing vessel that allows the skipper to register, manage and transmit fishing logbooks to the Fisheries Authorities and/or Company offices.
The application integrates a sophisticated algorithm that issues alerts to the skipper, regarding the fulfillment of the catch reporting obligations towards the Fisheries Authorities, namely: previous area entry/exit warning; time spent in area alert and TAC management and control by fish species.
It allows the establishment of a direct communication channel with Fisheries Authorities where it is possible to: send Catch Reports and Electronic Fishing Logbooks; manage Fishing Licenses; query fishing vessel registry; receive Regulations updates and receive Fisheries Information.
Besides helping Fisheries Authorities to monitor and control fish captures, SeaCatch offers skippers a tool to manage and control onboard fish stocks and, being the required infrastructure available, to remotely negotiate the onboard catch, through electronic sales support on landing ports.
